This is Melk Abbey, built in the 10th century originally built as a castle belonging to the Babenberg family and overlooking the Danube. In the late 11th century it was handed over to the Benedictines. Gutted by fire in 1683, it was rebuilt in 1702 and from 1805 and 1809 was the general headquarters of Napoleon I.
